The itinerant show will visit the streets of Ermua, Astigarraga and Durango from September onwards. Recycling, audience interaction and creativity are the central themes to this colourful and dynamic street theatre show.

It is worth mentioning that the projects involve a wide range of art forms and that more artists from Navarra, La Rioja and Madrid have applied for the KREA grants. The judges, who will assess the quality, feasibility and suitability of the projects as well as the artists’ backgrounds, will announce their decision in October. Nearly 25 percent of the works are by Basque artists under 30 who have applied for training grants or subsidies to carry out their first art projects.

The play will be premiered on 9 August in the context of the festival, unfolding from 8 to 31 August. The artist from Vitoria-Gasteiz is taking her theatre play La sombra de Alicia to the most vibrant of Scottish festivals. The play addresses existential issues such as loneliness or the anxiety emerging from big changes in people’s lives.
