What is KREA | FAQS: KREA responds

I am studying Fine Arts, what can KREA offer me now that its premises are not operative yet? And once they start to operate?

Even though our premises are still being built, and we do not have a real centre, we have set forth the Creators’ Programme. This programme makes it possible to apply for scholarships training, research and/or production scholarships. Besides, we organise and collaborate with different artistic and cultural projects all over our territory.

When our premises are ready, we will provide exchange scholarships, covering accommodation and training. The scholarships will not only include money, they will also include the use of the different premises and/or equipment, project commission, financing lines, etc.

Besides, we also offer an orientation and information service, professional courses and workshops, and we will also have a library specialised in contemporary culture and creations.

I like cultural activities, what can KREA offer me?

In KREA, we propose different alternatives:

  • You may enrich your cultural experiences by visiting the exhibition room, by attending concerts, dance shows, theatre plays and the video and cinema sessions, etc.
  • You may discover the state-of-the-art creation trends through the different conferences and courses on contemporary culture
  • You may enjoy your leisure time just relaxing at the music boxes or at the restaurant-cafeteria
Is KREA going to organise activities for families?

Yes, the KREA Educational Service will implement specific programmes for families, educational centres, elderly people... Different artistic, cultural, social and environmental activities thanks to which different types of publics will approach and enjoy contemporary creations and culture.

Will KREA buttress tha artists from Alava?

KREA intends to be an open centre with an international vocation but taking into account the local artists. Thus, even though its different services and programmes include other territories, we have a compromise with the artists from Alava, who will receive a preferential treatment.

How can I get to the KREA premises?

  • Use the bike lane that connects our premises with different parts of the city
