The most prestigious professionals in the world, from Italy, England and France, will be taking part in the first edition of the International Meeting of Sound Creation and Diffusion, 'Silence, KREA', which is being held in Vitoria-Gasteiz on the 5th and 6th September and organised by KREA Contemporary Expression, in conjunction with the Sinkro association.
This initiative, which came about with a view to creating a meeting place for the world’s leading sound research centres and labs, will present working models and discuss the main aspects involved in electro-acoustic music and sound art in general.
On Friday 5th September, the programme will also include a concert performed by the Irish musician Garth Knox, one of the best viola players in the world.

- Richard Karpen (USA). Founding Director of the Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media (DXARTS) at the University of Washington and currently serves as Divisional Dean for Research in the College of Arts and Sciences.
